Worship is the deepest form of intimacy with our Savior. It is a time when we forget about what may be going on in our lives and place all our thoughts directly on our redeemer and give him the praise that he deserves. We lay down all the cares of the world and give focus to the one who gives us life. The Lord loved David and called him at a young age to be king. The one thing that sets King David apart for me is that he loved to worship the Lord. He was always singing a new song. The Bible also tells us when King Saul was tormented he called for a young David to play his harp and worship the Lord because when he did the torment would stop. See, when we worship we are in the Lords presence and darkness must flee. The entire atmosphere changes when we worship. The Bible tells us in Luke 19:39-40 that if we don’t worship our savior the very rocks will cry out in worship. That is how important worship is in our relationship with God. There are multiple examples throughout the word where worship brought change. A closeness to the Lord, an outpouring of his spirit, deliverance from tormenting spirits, and victory in battle. I believe Worship is one of the keys to walking in victory in our lives today. The Lord told Joshua in Joshua 6:2-5 to March around the city of Jericho blowing trumpets for 7 days but on the seventh day give a loud shout and the walls of Jericho will fall down. Even our exit from this world will be with a sound of worship. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 . For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. What a glorious day that will be!! The Lord created worship and loves to hear his children worship him in spirit and in truth.XO is so very excited to welcome you to come worship with us and step deeper into intimacy with the Lord.
